Yesterday, my three-year-old son got involved in a workout video with me. Not once did he watch the video for guidance. Instead, he looked at me. Afterwards, in the shower, he washed his body in the same order I washed mine. And when we ate dinner, he mirrored the way I leant on the table.
Bottom line – our children are watching everything we do. They’re observers. Of course they are. That’s how they learn.
Our actions as parents beget imitation by our children. So be the example you want your kids to follow.
Want them to grow up leading a fit and healthy lifestyle? Let them see you exercise and eat vegetables.
Want them to read books? Read books!
Want them to reject toxic relationships? Then remove toxic people from your life.
Want them to learn how to forgive others, and to forgive themselves when they fuck up? You know what to do.
Be the blueprint for the life you want them to lead.
If you want your children to become the best possible version of themselves, lead by example. Be the best you can be, and inspire your children to do the same!
